Ben Cole: Ben started playing classical guitar aged 9 with Roger Tiangco in Dhahran, and moved to electric guitar a few years later when his Dad wasn’t listening. Roger’s teaching and the grounding in classical provided him with a strong technique and he has applied that to address the work of modern rock and jazz/rock guitar legends including Joe Satriani, Yingwe Malmsteen, Steve Vai, and Gary Moore, as well as favourites like Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Satriani however is by far Ben’s main inspiration and Dhahran saw that in spades with the red hot set he performed December 29th 2007 at the LoL end of year gig. Look out for Ben at the same venue in 2008!
Christopher Miller: When these recordings were made Christopher Miller was in the tenth grade at Dhahran High School in Saudi Arabia. His primary musical instrument is the drums, and he is mainly self taught beginning when he was 13 years old. Christopher also plays guitar and has recently taken up violin. He also teaches drums to several students in the Dhahran community. He has been the drummer for several rock bands in Dhahran; for another band at the Power Chord Academy in Chicago (Summer, 2007); played guitar as part of a benefits rock concert (Spring, 2007); and drums / percussion for school bands at the Aramco Middle School and Dhahran High School. Christopher attributes his musical enthusiasm to the Middle School rock band program led by Mr. Saylar Craig, and for his 10 years of education in the Aramco school system he considers Saylar to be his most influential teacher. John Cole: Ruggedly handsome Canadian on bass. John is an accomplished concert cellist with a great sense of time and a dry humor. John started playing electric bass in 2006, probably because he couldn't fully get his head around gold, couldn't afford a red Ferrari, and his wife won't let him have a girl friend.
